How in-home grooming works
We keep each grooming visit calm, efficient, and tailored to your bird’s comfort. Breaks and adjustments are made as needed to minimize handling time and stress.
Meet & Assess
We meet you in your home to review your bird’s history, grooming needs, and comfort level, then choose the safest handling approach.
Gentle Grooming
Grooming is completed carefully and efficiently to minimize handling and stress. We adjust the pace, offer breaks when appropriate, and may ask for your help if your bird is more comfortable with you involved.
Wrap-up & Payment
We answer questions, share relevant recommendations, discuss future grooming needs, and collect payment at the end of the visit. We accept cash, Venmo, card on file, and tap to pay.
-A note on safety: Your bird’s well-being comes before completing a service. If grooming cannot be done safely or your bird is showing significant stress, we may pause, modify, or discontinue the appointment.
-Veterinary care: Grooming does not replace veterinary care. If we notice bleeding, swelling, lameness, damaged or overgrown beak tissue, sudden behavior changes, or other potential health concerns, we may recommend an avian veterinarian before proceeding.
